Suriyan is a 1992 Tamil film directed by Pavithran starring Sarath Kumar and Roja in lead roles and produced by K. T. Kunjumon. This big budget production won positive reviews and became the first major success for Sarath Kumar as a hero. Certain scenes from the film were inspired by the 1985 Hollywood thriller Commando. It was also dubbed in Telugu as Mande Suryudu.
